1) How do we balance social justice with moral authority, or just with unjust laws?
As a human race its expected of us to encounter obstacles such as balancing social justice with moral authority. Depending on each person were all going to have different tasks to go about these obstacles. Social justice is the idea of a perfect society and equal justice amongst social classes. Morally we achieve our goal of a perfect society by using good judgement and action. Even though we may not completely agree with unjust laws we still abide by them to keep the system moving.
2) What constitutes social responsibility and justice, and what is the relationship between freedom and power?
Social responsibility is our duty to be respectful and polite people. In a world where there is so much violence and hatred it is easy to get caught up in the wrong ways of life. Justice is a tricky word because there are several forms of justice, and not every form is pleasant.
What constitutes social responsibility is the though of having a society run smoothly. Justice in the form of righteous law contributes to protecting the society.
Freedom and power are related because freedom gives you the opportunity to become powerful and once you reach your almighty power your freedoms to do even more get opened up.
3) What constitutes leadership and how do leaders confront moral choices?
A good leader is someone who is not afraid to defend and attack. What constitutes good leadership is a leader who is aware of their surroundings and understands all laws and regulations. leaders confront moral choices when a moral decision needs to be made. If the leader is a good one making a good moral choice should be easy.
One has to ask however, what does a perfect society look like? I think one thing we learned from both our past lectures is that we can not impose our world view onto others. Also, how do your answers impact your analysis of the Burial of Thebes?
